Sarah Loisch

Sarah Loisch began her musical studies at an early age alongside her six older siblings. The family’s active involvement in vocal and instrumental learning led to performances across the state of Indiana and in high school, she discovered a deep connection to piano literature. Following her passion, she committed to full-time musical studies in her undergraduate work at Olivet Nazarene University, where she studied with Dr. Paul Kenyon. Miss Loisch was an enthusiastic collaborator with the university orchestra, voice studios, and various theatre programs. She completed her Master of Arts in Music in May 2022 at Eastern Illinois University where she studied with Dr. Victor Cayres. There, she was a teacher in the university's community music program where she taught private piano, planned studio recitals, and helped connect students to music opportunities in their communities. As a passionate performer and teacher, Miss Loisch seeks to express the intersection of life’s experiences and music in her work. She believes that technique and musicality work together to foster greater appreciation and love for musical expression. Investing in the music community and connecting with students and parents is foundational to her teaching method and she is thrilled to be working with students with From Creative.

Miss Loisch was a first prize winner in the 2021 Charleston (SC) International Music Competition and was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student Award by EIU’s music department for the 2020-2021 academic year. She was also awarded the 2018 Naomi/Larsen Musical Excellence Award and is the two-time recipient of the Neilson & Young Piano Scholarship at Olivet Nazarene University.
